The Long Beach Consolidation Project

The Long Beach Consolidation Project transforms the Long Beach Water Pollution Control Plant into a fortified diversion station enhancing coastal resiliency and rejuvenating local ecosystems in partnership with the Nassau County Department of Public Works and the City of Long Beach.

Project Goal

​​Improving water quality and storm resiliency in Long Island's Western Bays by upgrading existing wastewater management infrastructure to reduce nitrogen levels in the Bays, providing environmental, recreational, and economic benefits.
